To my delight, organisations approached me to ask whether I would talk and empower audiences with my life story following the success of the award winning documentary, Ladder to Nowhere. A challenging start in life is something many of us are familiar to – whether our family has a decent situation, good health and loving bonds, growing up is not easy!
So let’s throw one, or more of the factors below;
- Trauma or abuse
- A limiting income
- Poor OFSTED reports in local schools
- Living in an area struggling with social conflict
- Concentrations of disadvantaged people types
- An illness or disability – personal or a family member
- A lack of attainable employment options
- Biased recruitment and selection techniques
- Unkempt or absent recreational facilities
Suddenly, especially for an individual experiencing more than one of these factors, personal progression begins to feel hopeless. Far too often, hope does not feature at all!

Each event features a series of entertaining, visual aids and a free-flowing, impactful script, generating a ‘visceral, ball-breaking experience’! (Lol – in the words of my agent!).
You can even create a more interactive experience by bolting-on a 30-60 minute workshop exercise too! Then your audience will walk away enthused with their very own tailored, personal goals.
